"Stand on their heads to help"I am a novice in trading and investing, and I wanted to buy Bitcoin and Ripple. Jacob showed me how I could do it myself online. He was very patient and tried to make sure I felt comfortable working online. I am still learning, but I know they are ready to help. I also started trading in other markets, such as the Australian dollar and gold. I enjoy learning new skills. Recommend. Thank you.

"First-Class Service"I had issues with the trading platform, contacted their support team, and they resolved the problem within minutes. Instead of sending me a link and telling me to figure it out myself, which my other brokers did, the representative (Matt or Mark?) walked me through it to solve the issue. I am always amazed at the level of support I receive from Think Markets. It truly makes a big difference! Keep up the great work.

"One of the Best Brokers"I have been a client of Thinkmarkets Australia (a/c 148791) for about 3 years, and I want to say that this is one of the best brokers I have ever worked with. I have tried many Australian brokers and brokers from other countries, but Thinkmarkets provides me with the best spreads (my Pro account), excellent order execution, fast and convenient support, hassle-free deposits and withdrawals (I noticed that now you can deposit and withdraw using Bitcoin?). And all the markets I trade are available. Recently, my trading account has been profitable. It would be great if they had more stock indices and cryptocurrencies, but I prefer to work with what I know. When I started my trading activities more than 10 years ago, I learned the hard way by trying to trade in every market that seemed suitable to me and being in a state of frequent transition. However, on my Thinkmarkets account, I bought CFDs on Apple Inc shares last week when the US market showed a decline, I couldn't resist... Now I have a profit, but I have set a short stop-loss in case of a reversal.

Проверен"Denial of Contact Information for a Losing Broker"ThinkMarkets allowed my introducing broker to make large trades on my account, resulting in me losing most of my money. I was told he needed a power of attorney to do this, but I did not give him one. He asked for my passwords to find and add some indices to my trading screen that I couldn't locate. He told me to never risk more than a small percentage on each trade, no more than 2% or 3%. With this cautious approach, I made about 10%. He said I could make much more money by putting 20% on a trade, and when it doesn't go as planned, put another 20%, and so on. Eventually, I lost 95% of the balance when the platform closed everything, including the small trades where I was making money. I contacted ThinkMarkets to request his email address or phone number (the ones he used couldn't receive calls), but got no response.

Hello, Mike. ThinkMarkets does not recommend clients share passwords or login details. They should be kept confidential and not exposed to threats. We regret that you are unable to contact your introducing broker. Unfortunately, for privacy reasons, we cannot provide contact details for participants in our partnership, including introducing brokers or ThinkMarkets clients. Best regards, The ThinkMarkets Team

"They won't return the profit!"They won't return the profit! I was encouraged to share my opinion since the last reviewer also had issues with withdrawals, so I don't feel alone in this problem. I've been trading with them for over a year, everything was fine and profitable, the spread was okay. But for more than 3 months, everything went wonderfully bad: trade execution, slippage, etc. I use the same strategy with another broker and everything works perfectly. So I decided to withdraw my funds. Amazingly - amazingly! They returned my deposit, but they always had excuses not to return my profit. It looks like I now need to fight for my money! Madness! If you want to practice with a small amount and don't expect to win, then this broker will suit you, but if you want to go for more and make a profit, find another one. This is not for profitable players.

"Excellent broker"Excellent broker, excellent prices and execution... Spreads on currency pairs are constantly improving, and because of this, despite the cryptocurrency boom (from everyone), I maintain my interest in more stable instruments. They have a good platform with excellent graphics. If they can add more stocks, that would be superb. The service is very good, I usually communicate with Marina or Miranda, they are very polite and attentive.

Проверен"Irresponsible Trading Advice"After a few successful trades, the broker encouraged me to increase the balance on my account. Then he recommended several trades on silver, which were suggested by their commodities expert. I asked questions about the trade sizes but was assured that everything was safe. The trade was stopped out. I was advised to repurchase at a lower level. I asked questions again, and once more I was assured that everything was fine. But this trade also failed. This happened a third time when the trades were very small, and as a result, they completely drained my account. I feel bad for myself for taking poor, even reckless advice, but I will never make this mistake again. I wonder if this case violates the code of conduct for dealing with retail clients.

Account Opening

Rating:4/5

The account opening process at ThinkMarkets is simple and convenient for clients, considering the clarity of requirements and the absence of a minimum deposit for a standard account. However, due to possible verification taking up to 2 days, the account opening process may not be as fast as one would like.

Registration

The registration process at Think Markets takes a few minutes. You must enter personal information, place of residence, phone number, email address, and password. No confirmation of registration is required. Immediately after filling in the fields, the client can log in to the Think Markets personal account.

If you are opening an individual account for personal trading, you will need the following documents:

  1. Photo identification: the next can be accepted as photo identification:

    • Valid passport

The time to open an account can vary depending on the client. Still, if you have provided all the necessary documents and they are acceptable, you should receive your login details within two business days.

Minimum Deposit

The minimum deposit at ThinkMarkets varies depending on the type of account you choose to open.

If you decide to open a Standard account, there will be no minimum deposit requirements. You can start trading with any amount you find acceptable and comfortable.

However, if you choose a ThinkZero account offering lower spreads, the minimum deposit is $500. This account is a premium option and assumes the presence of a specific capital to start trading.

Account Types

Rating:3.3/5

ThinkMarkets account types meet the basic needs of most traders. However, their choice is still limited, and there is insufficient variety. There are no cent accounts, which may be necessary for beginners or traders with less capital. Accounts with fixed spreads are also absent, which may be preferable for some traders. In addition, there is no Islamic account, which limits opportunities for Muslim traders.

Commissions

Rating:2.3/5

ThinkMarkets' commissions are at an average market level. Despite this, the broker charges a currency conversion fee for withdrawals in a currency other than the base currency and for account inactivity.

Trading Commissions

The central trading commissions that ThinkMarkets earns are the spreads on the Standard account and the commission per trade on the ThinkZero account. Let's take a closer look and compare them with offers from other Forex brokers.

Spreads and Swaps

The broker offers average market spreads and high swaps on the Standard account.

Below are the average spreads and swaps for major currency pairs on the Standard account.

AssetAverage spreadSwap longSwap short

BrokerIC MarketsRaw SpreadPepperstoneRazorThinkMarketsThinkZeroRoboforexECNFxProRaw+
Commission per lot$3.5$3.5$3.5$2.16$3.5

Currency Conversion Commission

ThinkMarkets recommends, although it does not require, that deposits be made in the account's base currency. If a deposit is made in a different currency, it is automatically converted to the base currency at the current exchange rate. For withdrawals in a currency other than the base currency, the broker charges a fee of 3% of the withdrawal amount.

Account Inactivity Fee

A monthly inactivity fee is charged if your account remains inactive for 90 days. Trading activity is defined as opening and closing or maintaining an open position during this period. If you do not plan to trade on your account for an extended period, contact the broker's support and ask to deactivate your account. Inactivity fees are not charged on deactivated accounts, which can be reactivated anytime.

Deposit and Withdrawal

Rating:4/5

The variety of deposit and withdrawal methods is quite broad, including bank transfers, cards, electronic wallets, and even cryptocurrencies. Fees for deposits and withdrawals are primarily non-existent, except in currency conversion and bank transfers. However, the processing time for withdrawal requests can vary, which is vital to consider.

To withdraw funds from your trading account, first select "Funding > Withdraw in ThinkPortal". Then, complete the online steps by choosing the trading account, method, and withdrawal amount.

Withdrawal requests are usually processed within 24 hours on business days. However, the company's transaction verification system is quite meticulous. Compared to many brokers, the client will have to wait longer for withdrawals and deposits. The broker explains this with increased security requirements.

Additionally, it should be noted that when withdrawing funds in a currency different from the account's base currency, the company charges a fee of 3% of the withdrawal amount. Such a fee is automatically deducted from your account. Therefore, although it is not mandatory, we recommend making withdrawals in the account's base currency to avoid additional costs.
