Pepperstone Demo Account Features

Pepperstone's demo accounts have various features designed to help you practice and improve your trading skills. Here’s what you need to know:

  • MT4 and MT5 demo accounts have a 60-day expiry, while cTrader and TradingView demo accounts do not expire. However, if you have an approved live and funded account, Pepperstone can convert your MT4/MT5 demo account to a non-expiry demo account. Remember that a non-expiry demo account can still be archived if inactive for 90 days. Activity is defined as trading or logging into the account. Note that MT4 demo accounts will expire even with open trades, while MT5 demo accounts remain open as long as there are positions.

  • If you hold a live account with Pepperstone, you can have up to 10 demo accounts. Without a live account, you can have up to 5 demo accounts: 2 for MT4 (1 standard and 1 razor account), and one each for MT5, cTrader, and TradingView. Additional demo accounts can only be opened after the existing ones expire.

  • Pepperstone does not offer swap-free demo accounts. Demo accounts are not charged for slippage, interest, dividend adjustments, or out-of-hours price movements. Trades on demo accounts may be rejected due to insufficient funds but not due to trade size or price. Additionally, trades will not be closed due to insufficient funds to cover margin or running losses. For swap-free options, please refer to the Pepperstone Islamic account.
