How we calculate estimated swap cost
We collect swap long, swap short, swap mode and rollover settings from monitored MT5 accounts.
When the swap mode provides enough information, we convert raw values into an estimated money value per 1 lot.
Rows that require a position open price or use unsupported reopen-based modes are shown as raw-only.
What is a forex swap rate?
A forex swap rate is an overnight holding adjustment applied when a position remains open after rollover. It can be a charge or a credit and can differ by direction.
What data we collect from MT5
The public table uses observed MT5 swap long, swap short, swap mode, rollover day, weekday multipliers, symbol specification and the latest available reference price.
Why raw swap values need conversion
A raw MT5 swap value is not always money. The swap mode determines whether it means points, money in a specific currency, annual interest or another calculation method.
How points, currency and interest modes are handled
Points mode uses point size and contract size. Currency modes convert the raw money value to the display currency. Current-price interest mode uses the latest reference price and a 360-day year.
Why some rows are raw-only
Open-price interest and reopen-based modes require position-specific information or platform mechanics that are not safe to estimate on a public comparison page.
How rollover multipliers affect weekly cost
When weekday multipliers are available, the weekly estimate multiplies the estimated daily money value by the sum of the observed rollover multipliers.
Why values may differ from broker websites
These are observed values from monitored accounts. Broker conditions can differ by entity, region, account type, platform and symbol suffix.
Why spreads and commissions are separate
Swaps are overnight holding costs. Spreads, commissions, slippage and execution quality are separate trading cost factors and are not included in this table.

Are forex swap rates fixed?
No. Swap settings are symbol and account conditions that brokers can change. We show the latest values observed from monitored MT5 accounts, together with the last checked time.
What is the difference between long swap and short swap?
Long swap applies to a buy position held overnight. Short swap applies to a sell position held overnight. The values can differ because the financing calculation depends on direction.
Why do you show raw MT5 values and estimated money values?
MT5 swap values can use different calculation modes. A raw value can mean points, money in a specific currency, annual interest or another mode. The estimated money value helps compare rows when the MT5 value can be safely converted into money.
Why are some rows marked raw-only?
Some swap modes require position-specific information, such as an open price, or use reopen-based charging. In those cases we show the raw MT5 value instead of making a misleading money estimate.
Are these official broker swap rates?
No. These are observed values from monitored accounts. Broker conditions may vary by account type, entity, region, platform and symbol.
Are spreads and commissions included?
No. Swaps are overnight holding costs. Spreads, commissions, slippage and execution quality are separate cost factors.
