Reliability and Regulation
Crypto.com demonstrates a high level of reliability due to its long operating history, licensing in key jurisdictions including the EU, Singapore and the UAE, and its advanced system for protecting client assets. Despite past security incidents and regulatory claims, the exchange remains one of the most highly regulated cryptocurrency platforms.
Licensing and jurisdiction
| Legal Entity | Regulator |
|---|---|
| — | |
Crypto.com was founded in 2016 in Hong Kong and later expanded into international markets. The platform operates through the Foris DAX group of companies, each of which is responsible for specific services and regions.
One of its most important regulatory achievements was obtaining, in January 2025, a crypto-asset service provider licence (CASP) under the European MiCA Regulation. The authorization was issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) to Foris DAX MT Limited and permits it to provide regulated cryptocurrency services in the European Economic Area.
In February 2026, the European division of Crypto.com also received Limited Financial Institution authorization in Malta to provide certain stablecoin payment services.
It should be noted that these authorizations belong to different group companies and do not automatically apply to all products offered by Crypto.com. For example, registration with FCA under anti-money laundering requirements does not mean that all cryptocurrency operations are fully regulated by the British financial regulator.
Regulatory risks
Despite its extensive licensing, Crypto.com has faced claims from financial regulators.
In October 2023, the central bank of the Netherlands (DNB) fined the company in the amount of 2.85 million euros for providing cryptocurrency services without the required registration. In December 2025, a Rotterdam court reduced the fine to 2.2775 million euros. However, in January 2026, DNB filed an appeal, so the legal proceedings continued.
In October 2024, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) sent Crypto.com a Wells Notice, indicating possible enforcement action. The company challenged the regulator's position. On 27 March 2025, the SEC officially closed the investigation without filing charges or imposing sanctions.
Additional regulatory risks arise from differences between national laws. Some products, particularly derivatives, margin trading and investment services, may be unavailable to certain categories of clients. Legislative changes may also result in trading restrictions or revised service terms.
Security of funds
Crypto.com uses a multi-layered system to protect client assets, combining technical security measures, access controls and independent audits of its information infrastructure.
Key security measures include:
- Cold storage of cryptocurrencies. Cold and hot wallets with restricted access to funds are used to store assets.
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA). Additional identity confirmation methods are used to protect accounts, including biometrics, passkeys and authenticator apps.
- Withdrawal controls. Address allowlists and additional transaction checks are supported.
- International security standards. The company states that it complies with ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO 22301, PCI DSS Level 1 and has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit.
- Vulnerability disclosure program. Crypto.com works with security researchers through the HackerOne platform.
Proof of Reserves
In December 2022, Crypto.com published a Proof of Reserves report, prepared with the involvement of the audit firm Mazars Group. The review found that, as of the reserve snapshot date, the exchange held assets covering its obligations to clients for the verified cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC.
Users can also verify that their balances were included in the published data using a Merkle Tree cryptographic proof.
History of security incidents
On 17 January 2022, Crypto.com was hit by a major cyberattack, affecting 483 user accounts. The attackers managed to conduct unauthorized transactions totaling approximately $34 million by bypassing the two-factor authentication mechanism. The company temporarily suspended withdrawals, strengthened account security and reported that affected clients had been fully reimbursed for their losses.
In addition, in September 2025, details emerged of an earlier incident, involving the compromise of an employee account in 2023. According to Crypto.com, the personal data of a small number of users was affected, but client funds were not.
Insurance and compensation of funds
Crypto.com offers an Account Protection Programme (APP), which provides for possible compensation of up to $250 000 for certain unauthorized transactions. For clients of the Prime program, the limit may reach $1 million. However, this protection is not available in every country, applies only when specified conditions are met and is not an unconditional guarantee of reimbursement.
Client fiat funds in certain jurisdictions are held at regulated banks. For example, eligible dollar deposits of U.S. users may be covered by insurance through FDIC up to $250 000 in the event of a partner bank's bankruptcy. This insurance does not cover cryptocurrencies or protect against the bankruptcy of Crypto.com.
Account Opening
The account-opening process on Crypto.com Exchange is online and includes registration and mandatory identity verification (KYC). An account can be created through the exchange's official website or mobile app. The process is fairly simple, but identity verification is required for full access to trading, deposits and withdrawals. Document verification usually takes from several hours to two business days.
Registration
You can register on Crypto.com Exchange through the official website crypto.com/exchange. A valid email address and mobile phone number are required to open an account.

Step-by-step registration guide
- Go to the Crypto.com Exchange website and click Sign Up.
- Enter your email address and, if applicable, a referral code.
- Confirm your email address using the one-time code (OTP) sent in the email.
- Select the country code, enter your mobile phone number and verify it using SMS.
- Create a password and an access code for logging in to your account.
- Complete the identity verification process.
- Once verification is approved, log in to your Crypto.com Exchange account.
If the user is already registered in the main Crypto.com app, they can create an exchange account with the same email address. In this case, some personal data will be transferred automatically, and identity verification may not need to be repeated.
After registration, it is recommended that two-factor authentication (2FA) be enabled. It is required to manage withdrawals and API keys.
Verification
Identity verification on Crypto.com Exchange is mandatory for full use of the exchange. Anonymous trading without submitting documents is not supported. Verification is performed in accordance with KYC and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
To complete verification, log in to your account and open the Profile → Account section, then select the identity verification option.
The process involves three main steps:
- Providing personal data. The user enters their first and last name as shown on their documents. Their date of birth, citizenship and other information may also be required.
- Identity verification. The user must select the document's country of issue and upload a photo of it. A passport, national identity card or driver's licence is usually accepted.
- Photo verification. The user must take a photo of their face while holding a sheet of paper bearing the handwritten text “Crypto.com” and the current date, if required by the verification interface.
After the documents are submitted, the application is sent for review. Its status can be tracked in the user's account.
Status | Value |
|---|---|
Verify Now | Verification is incomplete; access to the exchange's features is restricted |
Pending | Documents have been submitted and are awaiting review |
Approved | Identity has been verified; deposits, trading, and withdrawals are available |
The review usually takes from a few hours to two business days. It depends on the country of residence, citizenship, photo quality, and other factors. If the status has not changed within three business days, Crypto.com recommends contacting customer support.
In some cases, the exchange may request additional documents, such as proof of residential address or source of funds. Such checks are usually related to legal requirements and the nature of the client's financial transactions.
Account Types
Crypto.com Exchange offers a flexible service structure, ranging from standard spot trading to professional tools and institutional services. Its range of products makes the platform suitable for both individual investors and active traders
Main Account and Subaccounts
The main account (Master Account) provides access to the trading and investment products of Crypto.com Exchange. Users can create additional subaccounts (Sub-accounts) to manage different strategies and portfolios independently.
Each subaccount has its own balance, open positions, and profit and loss metrics. It inherits the main account's verification level and does not require separate KYC.
The exchange allows users to create:
- Up to 20 subaccounts for retail traders.
- Up to 300 subaccounts for institutional clients.
Subaccounts are suitable for active traders who use several strategies simultaneously, such as spot trading, arbitrage, and derivatives transactions.
Spot and Margin Trading
Spot trading is the primary trading mode on Crypto.com Exchange, allowing users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies at current market prices. Users have access to Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Cronos (CRO), stablecoins, and many other digital assets.

The exchange supports market and limit orders, as well as advanced trade management tools: Stop-Loss, Take-Profit, OCO and other order types.
Eligible users have access to margin trading. It allows users to trade with borrowed funds and open both long and short positions. The available leverage depends on the asset and the exchange's current risk parameters.
Margin trading uses assets in the account as collateral. Interest is charged on borrowed funds, and positions may be forcibly liquidated if collateral is insufficient.
Futures and Perpetual Contracts
Crypto.com Exchange offers cryptocurrency derivatives trading, including traditional futures and perpetual contracts (Perpetual Futures).
The main contract types are:
- Term Futures (Futures). Contracts with a fixed settlement date. The exchange supports monthly and quarterly expiration periods.
- Perpetual Futures. Contracts with no expiration date, allowing positions to be held until they are closed or liquidated.
Both instruments allow traders to profit from increases and decreases in the value of the underlying asset without buying it directly. A funding mechanism (Funding Rate), involving periodic payments between long and short position holders, is used to maintain the price of perpetual contracts.
The exchange supports leverage of up to 1:50 for certain instruments, as well as Cross Margin and Isolated Margin modes. In the first case, collateral is shared across positions; in the second, it is allocated separately to each trade.
In addition to cryptocurrency derivatives, the platform offers certain perpetual contracts linked to stocks, stock indices, commodities, and company valuations before IPO. Their availability is significantly restricted by jurisdiction.
Derivatives trading is intended primarily for experienced traders due to the heightened risks associated with leverage and position liquidation.
OTC
Crypto.com Exchange provides an over-the-counter trading service (Over-the-Counter, OTC), intended primarily for institutional and VIP clients.
OTC allows large transactions to be executed directly at individually quoted prices without placing the corresponding orders in the public order book. This format helps reduce the impact of large orders on the market price.
Key features of OTC trading:
- The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Fast quotes for large transactions.
- No separate trading fee, although costs may be included in the quoted price.
- Deferred settlement and netting of offsetting obligations are available to eligible clients.
- Support for OTC API to automate operations.
The standard trade size ranges from $100 to $5 million equivalent. Larger transactions require individual approval from the OTC desk.
Trading Bots
Crypto.com Exchange offers built-in trading bots that automate the buying and selling of digital assets without requiring users to write their own code.
Trading Bot | Purpose |
|---|---|
DCA Bot | Regular purchases or sales of cryptocurrency for a predetermined amount |
Grid Bot | Automated trading within a specified price range |
TWAP Bot | Splitting a large order into smaller trades for gradual execution |
Arbitrage Bot | Arbitrage strategies using the spot market and perpetual contracts |
Users set the strategy's main parameters themselves: the trading pair, investment amount, price range, or trade frequency. Once launched, the bot automatically executes transactions according to the settings.
Using standard trading bots does not require a separate subscription, but regular trading fees are charged for executed trades.
Automation does not guarantee profitability. For example, a Grid Bot may incur losses during a strong directional price movement, while arbitrage strategies are exposed to the risks of changing funding rates and liquidation.
Staking and DeFi
Crypto.com Exchange offers several ways to earn rewards by depositing digital assets.
On-Chain Staking allows cryptocurrencies to be delegated to participate in the operation of blockchain networks using the Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism. Users receive rewards whose amount depends on the rules of the relevant network.
Supported assets include ETH, SOL, CRO, ADA, DOT, ATOM, AVAX and other cryptocurrencies.
Different networks have their own activation and unstaking periods. For example, unlocking SOL usually takes about five days, while DOT takes approximately 29 days.

DeFi Staking provides access to decentralized protocols directly through Crypto.com Exchange without requiring a separate Web3 wallet.
Users can deposit supported assets into DeFi protocols for flexible or fixed terms. Rewards accrue according to the terms of the selected protocol, while Crypto.com may charge a service fee.
The exchange also supports liquid staking, which provides tradable tokens representing staked assets, such as CDCETH and CDCSOL.
Staking involves risks, including declines in cryptocurrency value, lock-up periods, validator penalties, and potential smart contract vulnerabilities. Returns are not guaranteed.
Dual Invest
Dual Invest is an investment product from Crypto.com Exchange that allows users to earn rewards and automatically exchange one digital asset for another when a specified price condition is met.

Users select a trading pair, investment term, target price (Target Price), and investment amount. The offered reward rate is fixed when the product is opened.
There are two possible outcomes when the investment ends:
- If the target-price condition is met on the settlement date, the invested asset and accrued rewards are converted into the alternative asset.
- If the condition is not met, the user receives the original asset together with the accrued rewards.
For example, a holder of BTC can select a target selling price and earn rewards for participating in the program. If the settlement price of BTC reaches the specified level, automatic conversion will occur under the stated terms.
Dual Invest does not charge a separate participation fee and supports automatic renewal for certain plans.
However, a high advertised return does not mean guaranteed profit in dollar terms. Users risk receiving an asset whose market value has fallen or missing further price growth after conversion.
Supercharger
Supercharger is a reward distribution program that allows users of Crypto.com Exchange to earn additional cryptocurrencies by depositing supported tokens into special pools.

Participation uses CRO, LCRO and CDCSOL depending on the selected event and regional restrictions.
The program has two main options:
- Supercharger Standard — rewards in cryptocurrencies selected for a specific event.
- Supercharger Cronos — distribution of tokens from projects in the Cronos ecosystem.
The minimum participation amount is 100 CRO, 100 LCRO or 0.005 CDCSOL.
The reward amount depends on the amount and duration of the deposit, the total pool size, and the terms of the specific event. Users can increase or decrease the deposited amount and withdraw funds during the accumulation period.
After the accumulation period ends, users must accept the rewards, which are then distributed to the exchange account within the specified period.
Supercharger is suitable for users who want to earn additional tokens without active trading. However, actual returns depend on the event terms, the number of participants, and the market value of the assets received.
CRO and rewards program
Cronos (CRO) is the native token of the Crypto.com ecosystem and is used to obtain trading benefits and additional rewards.
On Crypto.com Exchange, the CRO Rewards program offers benefits to users who hold a certain amount of CRO.
The program's main features include:
- Reduced Maker and Taker trading fees.
- Earning rewards for locking CRO.
- Additional discounts on interest for margin loans.
- The opportunity to earn rewards on CRO in flexible Soft Lockup mode.
CRO Lockup involves locking tokens for 180 days. Earning rewards generally requires depositing at least 10 000 CRO, while the rate depends on the number of tokens.
CRO Soft Lockup allows users to earn rewards flexibly without having to lock up funds for 180 days. Rates in this case are generally lower than with a long-term lockup.
Rewards under the CRO Rewards program are credited daily. However, tokens deposited in Supercharger or regular on-chain staking are not always included when calculating the corresponding benefits.
The program is particularly attractive to active traders, but the benefits of discounts and rewards must be weighed against the risk of changes in the market value of CRO.
VIP program
Crypto.com Exchange offers a VIP program for professional traders, institutional clients, and large asset holders.
In February 2026, the exchange updated the program, expanding the ways to obtain VIP status. Users can now advance to the corresponding level by meeting any one of the specified criteria: spot trading volume, derivatives trading volume, assets held in the account, or the balance of CRO.
Examples of requirements for the first VIP level:
Criterion | Requirement for VIP 1 |
|---|---|
Spot trading volume over 30 days | At least $1 million |
Derivatives trading volume over 30 days | At least $6 million |
Assets in the exchange account (AUM) | At least $250 000 |
Balance of CRO | At least 1.5 million CRO |
The program has seven levels, from VIP 1 to VIP 7. The final level is available by invitation.
Depending on their status, clients receive reduced fees, access to OTC trading, higher subaccount limits, personal support, enhanced technical support, and additional analytical materials.
The VIP program separates trading rates from additional benefits. Eligibility for reduced fees is reviewed daily against the established criteria, while the assigned VIP Tag generally retains access to non-fee benefits even after trading activity declines.
Commissions
The fees charged by Crypto.com Exchange can generally be considered average for the market. Base spot trading rates are fairly high, while futures fees remain competitive. Discounts based on trading volume, holdings of CRO and VIP status can substantially reduce costs. Deposits are mostly free, but withdrawal costs depend on the selected method. The exchange is most cost-effective for active traders with high trading volumes.
Spot trading fees
Crypto.com Exchange uses the standard Maker/Taker model:
- Maker — the fee for a limit order that adds liquidity to the exchange order book.
- Taker — the fee for an order that is executed against existing orders in the order book.
Fee rates depend on total spot trading volume over the past 30 days.
Base spot trading fees without discounts for CRO
Level | Trading volume over 30 days | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|---|
Level 1 | Less than $10 000 | 0.25% | 0.50% |
Level 2 | At least $10 000 | 0.20% | 0.40% |
Level 3 | At least $50 000 | 0.15% | 0.25% |
Level 4 | At least $250 000 | 0.10% | 0.20% |
Level 5 | At least $500 000 | 0.08% | 0.18% |
The standard fee charged by Crypto.com Exchange for spot trading is 0.25% for makers and 0.5% for takers with monthly trading volume below $10 000. These rates are fairly high compared with most major crypto exchanges. Fees gradually decrease as trading volume increases.
Discounts for holding CRO
The exchange allows users to reduce trading fees using its native Cronos token (CRO). The discount depends on the amount of CRO held in the exchange account.
With a balance of at least 1 000 CRO, the user receives a 3% discount on Maker and Taker fees. The benefits increase as the balance grows:
- At least 5 000 CRO — a 5% discount.
- At least 10 000 CRO — an 8% discount.
- At least 50 000 CRO — no Maker fee and a 12% Taker discount.
- At least 100 000 CRO — a rebate on Maker orders and a 15% Taker discount.
- At least 500 000 CRO — a higher Maker rebate and a 20% Taker discount.
With a balance of at least 5 million CRO, the Taker discount can reach 30%. Eligibility for trading benefits is based on the CRO balance on the exchange; mandatory locking of tokens for 180 days is not required for all discount tiers.
Fees for VIP clients
Separate rates apply to members of the VIP program at Crypto.com Exchange. Fee rates depend on the VIP level and may be reduced further for holders of CRO.
VIP level | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|
VIP 1 | 0.065% | 0.1% |
VIP 2 | 0% | 0.05% |
VIP 3 | 0% | 0.04% |
VIP 4 | 0% | 0.035% |
VIP 5 | 0% | 0.031% |
VIP 6 | 0% | 0.028% |
VIP 7 | 0% | 0.025% |
Thus, the standard spot fees on Crypto.com are noticeably higher than the rates of many major competitors, but the discount system can substantially reduce costs for high trading volumes or a significant balance in CRO.
Futures trading fees
Crypto.com Exchange offers more competitive terms for trading futures and perpetual contracts. Fees are also calculated using the Maker/Taker model and depend on derivatives trading volume over the past 30 days.
Futures fees without additional discounts
Level | Trading volume over 30 days | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|---|
Level 1 | Less than $500 000 | 0.020% | 0.040% |
Level 2 | From $500 000 | 0.018% | 0.038% |
Level 3 | From $1 million | 0.016% | 0.035% |
Level 4 | From $2.5 million | 0.014% | 0.032% |
Level 5 | From $5 million | 0.011% | 0.030% |
In the futures market, Crypto.com Exchange offers more competitive terms. The standard fee is 0.02% for makers and 0.04% for takers with monthly volume below $500 000. These rates are in line with those of most major crypto exchanges.
Fees for VIP clients
Participants in the VIP program of Crypto.com Exchange receive additional discounts on futures trading. Fee rates depend on the VIP level and may be reduced further when holding CRO.
VIP level | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|
VIP 1 | 0.008% | 0.028% |
VIP 2 | 0% | 0.026% |
VIP 3 | 0% | 0.024% |
VIP 4 | 0% | 0.022% |
VIP 5 | 0% | 0.020% |
VIP 6 | 0% | 0.018% |
VIP 7 | 0% | 0.015% |
Starting at VIP 2, there is no Maker fee at all, while the Taker rate gradually decreases to 0.015% at the highest level. These terms make Crypto.com especially attractive to professional traders with high trading volumes.
Additional futures costs
In addition to trading fees, the following should be considered:
- Funding Rate. Perpetual contracts are subject to periodic funding payments between holders of long and short positions. Settlements are usually made every hour, and the rate depends on market conditions.
- Liquidation fee. If a position is forcibly closed due to insufficient collateral, an additional fee of 0.5% is charged and allocated to the exchange's insurance fund.
- Trading spreads. The difference between the best bid and ask prices may increase actual costs, especially when trading less liquid contracts.
Overall, Crypto.com futures fees can be considered low to moderate compared with major competitors. However, with frequent trading and the use of leverage, additional costs can significantly affect overall returns.
Deposit and withdrawal fees
Crypto.com Exchange does not charge a fee for depositing cryptocurrency into an exchange account. Users pay only any applicable network costs or fees charged by the sending platform.
Cryptocurrency withdrawals are subject to separate fees that depend on the digital asset and selected blockchain network. For example, the cost of transferring USDT via Ethereum (ERC-20) may differ significantly from the cost of transferring it via Solana or Polygon.
The exchange also supports deposits and withdrawals in the fiat currencies USD and EUR via bank transfers, subject to availability in the user's region.
Main deposit and withdrawal fees
Transfer method | Deposit fee | Withdrawal fee |
|---|---|---|
Cryptocurrencies | 0% | Depends on the asset and network |
EUR via SEPA | 0% | 0% |
USD via SWIFT | 0% | $45 |
USD via Fedwire | 0% | $20 |
Transfers between Crypto.com App and Exchange | 0% | 0% |
Fees charged by intermediary banks and the sending bank may apply in addition.
The minimum amount for EUR withdrawals via SEPA is €80, with no fee charged by Crypto.com. The minimum amount for USD withdrawals via SWIFT is $500, while for retail clients using Fedwire it is $1 000.
Crypto.com also applies an additional fee of 0.05% on the portion of net USD withdrawals exceeding $1 million over a rolling 30-day period. Previous withdrawals, USD deposits, and certain OTC transactions are taken into account in the calculation. This fee is charged separately from SWIFT or Fedwire network fees.
Cryptocurrency withdrawals to external wallets usually take up to several hours. Before the transaction is confirmed, the exchange displays the fee and the final transfer amount.
Internal transfers between linked Crypto.com App and Crypto.com Exchange accounts are free and nearly instantaneous when the relevant internal transfer feature is used.
Deposit and Withdrawal
Crypto.com Exchange offers a fairly broad range of deposit and withdrawal methods, including cryptocurrency transfers and major banking systems. Cryptocurrency deposits are free, internal transfers are processed instantly, and some fiat transactions are available without fees. However, regional restrictions, high charges for certain bank transfers, and processing times of up to several business days somewhat reduce the platform's convenience.
Cryptocurrency deposits
You can fund Crypto.com Exchange by transferring cryptocurrency from an external wallet, another exchange, or the Crypto.com app.
How to fund your account
- Log in to Crypto.com Exchange and open the Wallet section.
- Select the cryptocurrency you want to deposit and click Deposit.
- Specify the blockchain network through which you plan to send the funds.
- Copy the deposit address or scan the QR code.
- Send the cryptocurrency from your external wallet to the provided address.
- Wait for the required number of network confirmations, after which the funds will be credited to the exchange account.
Crypto.com supports deposits through various blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cronos, and others. Multiple networks are available for some tokens, allowing users to choose a faster and cheaper transfer method.
The sending network must match the deposit network selected on the exchange. Funds may be lost if the wrong network is used or a required Memo/Tag is omitted.
Fiat deposits
Crypto.com Exchange supports direct account funding in fiat currencies via bank transfers. The main methods are SEPA for euros, Faster Payments for British pounds, SWIFT for international dollar transfers, and Fedwire or ACH for users in the US.
Method | Currency | Min. deposit | Deposit fee | Processing time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
SEPA (Europe) | EUR | €1 | 0% | From a few minutes with SEPA Instant |
Faster Payments (UK) | GBP | £20 | 0% | Usually a few minutes |
SWIFT (international) | USD | $1 | 0% | Depends on the banks and intermediaries |
Fedwire (US) | USD | $1 000 | 0% | Depends on the bank |
ACH (US) | USD | $1 | 0% | 1–5 business days |
Instant Deposit via ACH (US) | USD | Depends on the terms | 0% | Available immediately for trading, settlement takes up to 7 business days |
To fund the account by bank transfer, go to Wallet → Deposit, select the required fiat currency, and activate the relevant payment method. The exchange may request additional information as part of KYC.
After activation, the user receives bank details and, if necessary, a unique payment code (Reference Code), which must be included when sending the transfer. The bank account must belong to the owner of the Crypto.com Exchange account.
Buying cryptocurrency with a bank card
Crypto.com Exchange also offers the Quick Buy service, which allows users to buy cryptocurrencies directly with Visa and Mastercard cards, as well as through Apple Pay and Google Pay.
To make a purchase, open Trade → Quick Buy, select a cryptocurrency, enter the amount and choose a payment method. Once the payment is confirmed, the purchased assets are credited to the exchange account, usually within a few minutes.
Quick Buy is available in the US and the UK. However, the service does not directly fund a fiat balance: the user purchases cryptocurrency immediately. Payment provider and platform fees may apply and are displayed before the purchase is confirmed.
Cryptocurrency withdrawals
Crypto.com Exchange allows users to withdraw digital assets to external wallets, other crypto exchanges and the linked Crypto.com app.
Cryptocurrency withdrawal process:
- Open the Wallet section and select the cryptocurrency to withdraw.
- Click Withdraw and select a transfer to an external address.
- Enter the recipient's address, the corresponding blockchain network and, if necessary, a Memo/Tag.
- Add the address to the list of approved recipients (Withdrawal Whitelist).
- Enter the withdrawal amount and check the fee.
- Confirm the transaction using the SMS code and two-factor authentication (2FA).
New addresses may be subject to a 24-hour withdrawal lock if this feature is enabled in the security settings.
A fee is charged for cryptocurrency withdrawals to an external address, and its amount depends on the selected asset and network. For example, transferring stablecoins via Ethereum may cost more than using cheaper supported networks. The exact fee and minimum amount are displayed before the transaction is confirmed.
Processing a withdrawal to an external address may take up to 2–3 hours, after which the transaction must be confirmed by the blockchain.
Fiat withdrawals
Crypto.com Exchange supports fiat withdrawals to bank accounts through the same payment systems used for deposits.
To make a withdrawal, open Wallet → Withdraw, select the fiat currency, enter the bank account and transfer amount. Before confirmation, the exchange will display the applicable fees and restrictions.
Important condition: to enable withdrawals through most banking channels, users must first make at least one deposit from their own bank account. This allows Crypto.com to verify that the bank details belong to the client.
Fiat withdrawal fees and processing times
Withdrawal method | Fee | Processing time |
|---|---|---|
EUR via SEPA | 0% | Depends on the bank and the type of SEPA transfer |
GBP via FPS | £1.90 | About 1 business day |
USD via SWIFT | $45 | Depends on intermediary banks |
USD via Fedwire | $20 | Depends on the bank |
USD via ACH | 0% | 1–3 business days |
The Crypto.com Exchange also charges an additional fee of 0.05% on the portion of net withdrawals of USD exceeding $1 million over a rolling 30 days. The calculation includes dollar deposits and withdrawals, as well as certain OTC transactions. This fee applies separately from standard bank fees and mainly affects clients with large transactions.
Thus, the most favorable fiat withdrawal terms are available to users of SEPA and ACH, while international dollar transfers are less convenient for small amounts.
Limits
The Crypto.com Exchange has separate restrictions for cryptocurrency and fiat transactions. Limits depend on the payment method, country of residence, client status and type of asset used.
Main deposit and withdrawal limits for retail clients
Method | Minimum deposit | Minimum withdrawal | Maximum withdrawal |
|---|---|---|---|
Cryptocurrencies | No overall exchange limit | Depends on the asset and network | Depends on the asset and available balance |
EUR (SEPA) | €1 | €80 | €100 000 per day, €500 000 per month |
GBP (FPS) | £20 | £70 | £100 000 per day, £500 000 per month |
USD (SWIFT) | $1 | $500 | $100 000 per day, $500 000 per month |
USD (Fedwire) | $1 000 | $1 000 | $100 000 per day |
USD (ACH) | $1 | $100 | $100 000 per day, $500 000 per month |
For ACH, separate deposit limits apply: up to $1 million or five transactions per day and up to $10 million or 30 transactions per month. Through SWIFT and SEPA, there is no maximum amount for an individual deposit, while for FPS it is £1 million.
For cryptocurrency deposits, Crypto.com Exchange sets no overall limit, although each asset has its own minimum withdrawal amounts and restrictions.
For VIP clients and institutional users, higher limits apply. For example, the total daily withdrawal limit for USD for VIP clients can reach $500 000, while for institutional clients it can reach $10 million, subject to the limits of the specific payment channel.

Supported cryptocurrencies
Crypto.com Exchange offers a broad range of digital assets, covering the largest cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, tokens from DeFi projects, infrastructure coins, and memecoins.
The following markets are available on the exchange:
The number of instruments constantly changes due to new listings and the removal of trading pairs.
Main categories of supported cryptocurrencies:
- Largest cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, BNB, Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC).
- Stablecoins: Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), PayPal USD (PYUSD) and others.

The exchange supports major blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cronos, Polygon, and others. Multiple deposit and withdrawal networks are available for certain tokens, allowing users to choose the optimal option based on speed and fees. The availability of a specific network depends on the cryptocurrency.
The highest trading activity is concentrated in the pairs BTC/USD, ETH/USD, BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT. These pairs have substantial volumes and order-book depth. Liquidity may be noticeably lower for less popular altcoins, which should be considered when placing large market orders.
Trading Platforms
Crypto.com Exchange offers modern trading infrastructure, including a web terminal, mobile apps for iOS and Android, integration with TradingView and an API for algorithmic trading. The platforms support spot and derivatives markets, advanced order types, technical analysis tools, and trading position management.
Web platform
The web terminal Crypto.com Exchange operates directly in a browser without requiring additional software. The platform provides access to spot, margin, and futures trading. The interface uses a modular widget system that allows users to customize the layout of charts, order books, trading orders, and other elements according to their preferences.

Key features of the web platform
- Charts and technical analysis. Interactive price charts with various timeframes and tools for analyzing market movements.
- Order Book. Real-time display of buy and sell orders, market depth, and recent trades.
- Advanced orders. Market and limit orders, Stop-Loss, Take-Profit, OCO, Post-Only, as well as the execution modes GTC, IOC and FOK.
- Position management. Monitoring open orders, trading positions, available margin, and unrealized profit and loss.

- Trading automation. Launching and managing the built-in DCA, Grid, and TWAP bots.

The web terminal allows users to switch between trading pairs and markets without leaving the main workspace. Users can change the layout of individual interface elements, which is especially convenient when working with multiple instruments.

Mobile applications
Crypto.com offers a separate application, Crypto.com Exchange App, for trading on the exchange from smartphones and tablets. It is available for devices running iOS and Android.
The application can be downloaded from the official stores:
The mobile platform provides access to the exchange's main features, including trading, account management, and investment products.

Key Exchange App features

- Managing open positions and trading balances.
- Using the DCA, Grid, and TWAP trading bots.

iOS | Version 15 or later |
Biometric authentication | Supported on compatible devices |
Application cost | Free |
The mobile terminal is designed for quickly executing trades and monitoring positions away from a workstation. However, its small screen makes analyzing multiple charts simultaneously less convenient than on a computer.

It is important not to confuse Crypto.com Exchange App with the main Crypto.com App. The latter is intended primarily for buying, selling, storing, and using cryptocurrencies for everyday purposes, as well as for payment cards and other ecosystem products. Exchange App is used for full exchange trading.
TradingView
Crypto.com Exchange supports an official integration with TradingView, allowing users to analyze markets and execute trades directly through the interface of the popular analytics platform.

Key integration features
- Trading spot and margin instruments and perpetual contracts.
- Access to more than 400 technical indicators from TradingView.
- Creating custom indicators and strategies in Pine Script.
- Placing market, limit, and stop orders directly from the chart.
- Setting and modifying Take-Profit and Stop-Loss levels.
- Viewing open positions, orders, balances, and trading history.
- Working with multiple charts and trading instruments simultaneously.
To connect, open TradingView, go to the Trading Panel, select Crypto.com Exchange, and authenticate through the exchange's official interface.
The integration uses secure OAuth authentication, so there is no need to provide API-keys manually. TradingView receives permission to view trading data and manage orders but cannot withdraw funds from the exchange account.
Trades executed through TradingView are subject to the standard fees of Crypto.com Exchange. The exchange does not charge an additional integration fee, although some TradingView features require a paid subscription.
The integration is particularly useful for traders who use technical analysis and complex trading strategies. It also partially compensates for the lack of a dedicated desktop application for Crypto.com Exchange.
API and external platforms
Crypto.com Exchange provides an API for connecting algorithmic trading systems, external applications, and investment portfolio management software.
The exchange supports two main interfaces:
API | Features |
|---|---|
REST API | Retrieving market data and managing orders, trading positions, balances, and transaction history |
WebSocket API | Real-time streaming of quotes, order book data, trades, and user order updates |
The API supports spot, margin, and derivatives trading. Developers can create their own trading bots, integrate the exchange with analytics systems, and automate the execution of trading strategies.
To connect, create an API-key in the Crypto.com Exchange account dashboard. Users can configure permissions for reading data, trading, and other operations. For greater security, access can be restricted by IP-addresses. Rate limits also apply to API-requests.
Analytics
Crypto.com offers an advanced analytics infrastructure combining real-time market data, technical analysis tools, research reports, and regular cryptocurrency market reviews.
Market analytics and technical analysis
Crypto.com Exchange provides essential market data directly in the trading terminal. Users can track quotes, changes in asset values, trading volumes, trade history, and the state of the order book.

Key analytical tools
- Price charts. Displaying historical cryptocurrency price movements across various timeframes, allowing users to analyze short- and long-term trends.
- Technical indicators. Tools for identifying trends, momentum, and potential trade entry points.
- Order Book. Information about current buy and sell orders, allowing users to assess liquidity and supply and demand levels.
- Trade history. Data on the latest executed orders, which helps users analyze current trading activity.
- Derivatives analytics. Data on mark and index prices, funding rates, and contract parameters.
- Price Alerts. Automatic alerts when an asset reaches a specified price.
For in-depth technical analysis, the exchange supports integration with TradingView, providing access to more than 400 indicators, charting tools, and historical market data.
Users can compare multiple instruments, study price patterns, and create custom indicators in Pine Script. Trades can also be opened directly from TradingView charts.
Crypto.com Research & Insights
One of the main strengths of Crypto.com analytics is its in-house research team, Crypto.com Research & Insights, which regularly publishes detailed cryptocurrency market materials.

Reports are available free of charge in the Crypto.com Research section and cover not only cryptocurrencies but also global financial markets, digital asset regulation, macroeconomic indicators, and developments in the blockchain industry.
Main analytical publications
Material | Content | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
Market Update | An overview of the cryptocurrency market, the performance of BTC, ETH and other assets, macroeconomic factors, and the market outlook | Monthly |
Research Roundup | A selection of key research, charts, industry events, and changes in market indices | Monthly |
Thematic Research | In-depth analysis of DeFi, stablecoins, derivatives, asset tokenization, institutional investment, and blockchain technologies | As published |
Crypto Market Sizing | An estimate of the global number of cryptocurrency owners and trends in digital asset adoption | Periodically |
Alpha Navigator | Analysis of macroeconomic trends, correlations, and returns across various asset classes | Archived Issues |
The monthly Market Update reports are particularly noteworthy. They contain a comparative analysis of the returns of cryptocurrencies, stock indices, gold, bonds, and other assets.
The authors examine how central bank decisions, inflation, geopolitical events, and institutional demand affect the cryptocurrency market. Data are also published on capital flows into cryptocurrency ETFs, the development of individual blockchain projects, and regulatory changes.
The publications contain charts, statistical data, and comparison tables. They are particularly useful for investors who make decisions based on fundamental analysis and long-term market trends.
News and Market Reviews
In the section Crypto.com Market Updates news and brief analytical articles are published on events that could affect the value of digital assets.

The main publication formats are:
- Market Pulse. Regular reviews of key cryptocurrency market events, changes in trading activity, and institutional trends.
- Market News. News about cryptocurrency price movements, regulation, macroeconomics, and events in the blockchain industry.
- Trending. Articles on current market trends and rapidly developing areas of the cryptocurrency industry.
Market Pulse publications help users track industry developments without having to gather information from numerous sources themselves. They cover changes in investor activity, market volumes, capital flows, and significant corporate events.
Users can also subscribe to the free Crypto.com analytical newsletter to receive selections of news and research by email.
Analytics Dashboards
Crypto.com offers a separate Market Insights Dashboard, designed for exploring statistics and global trends in the cryptocurrency industry.
It presents the following metrics:
- Price Index. An index of price changes for selected cryptocurrencies that reflects overall market performance.
- Volume Index. A trading volume index that helps assess changes in market participant activity.
- Volatility Index. A volatility index showing changes in the intensity of price fluctuations.
- Total Crypto Owners. An estimate of the number of cryptocurrency owners worldwide and trends in digital asset adoption.
- Bitcoin Treasury Companies. Data on public companies holding Bitcoin, including the size and value of their reserves.
The indices help assess the overall state of the market rather than just the performance of individual cryptocurrencies. For example, rising prices accompanied by declining trading volumes may indicate weakening market activity, while increased volatility suggests greater uncertainty.

The dashboards are publicly available, with no need to open a trading account. It should be noted that some metrics are updated periodically and do not always reflect the situation in real time.
Price alerts and API
Crypto.com Exchange allows users to create price alerts (Price Alerts), which notify them when an asset reaches a specified price level.
To configure an alert, users must select a trading pair, specify a target price, and set the trigger condition—either a rise above the specified value or a fall below it.
Two modes are available:
- Once Only — a one-time notification when the specified level is reached.
- Repeat — repeated notifications while the specified price condition is met.
Alerts are supported in the web terminal and the Crypto.com Exchange mobile app. They allow users to follow the market without constantly monitoring charts.
Professional users also have access to an API, which provides historical quotes, trade data, order book data, and other market metrics.
REST API is suitable for retrieving data on request, while WebSocket is designed for streaming market data monitoring. This allows traders to create their own analytics dashboards, screeners, and automated analysis systems.
Education
Crypto.com offers a high-quality and diverse educational resource, including detailed articles, step-by-step guides, video tutorials, a glossary, and interactive programs with tests. The materials cover topics ranging from cryptocurrency basics to complex trading strategies and are suitable for users with different levels of experience. However, the lack of regular webinars, comprehensive video courses, and a demo account limits practical learning opportunities.
Crypto.com University
Crypto.com University is the company's main educational platform, bringing together articles and guides on cryptocurrencies, trading, blockchain, and digital security.

The materials are intended for users with different levels of experience. Articles are labeled by difficulty—Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced—helping readers choose suitable topics.
The articles contain explanations of key concepts, practical examples, and guidance on using various tools.
Crypto.com Learn
The section Crypto.com Learn is an additional library of educational guides focused primarily on the practical use of cryptocurrencies and trading tools.

Unlike University, which places considerable emphasis on theory, Learn materials are often structured as step-by-step instructions and answers to specific questions.
The main categories include:
- Crypto 101 — basic knowledge about cryptocurrencies, portfolio management, and market risks.
- DeFi and Web3 — the principles of decentralized finance and blockchain applications.
- Wallets and Security — choosing cryptocurrency wallets, storing assets, and protecting funds.
- Strategies and Earning — investment strategies, futures trading, staking, and ways to earn rewards.
- Accounts and Platforms — instructions for using cryptocurrency exchanges and financial services.
New publications are regularly added to Learn. Its practical focus makes the section particularly useful for traders who want to understand the exchange's features on their own.
Educational Guides and Video Tutorials
In the help center of Crypto.com Exchange an extensive library of instructions is available, covering registration, trading, asset management, and the use of additional products. The instructions are organized by topic, making it easy to find the required information quickly.
Most instructions include step-by-step explanations, while some feature interface images and embedded video demonstrations.
Video materials are also available on YouTube, although they mainly cover individual company features and products. The exchange does not offer a comprehensive, structured trading video program comparable to specialized educational courses.
The help center is particularly useful for practical tasks, but it does not replace systematic trading education.
Interactive learning in the Crypto.com app
In addition to educational articles, the company offers the In-App University program in the main Crypto.com mobile app.
Unlike a regular content library, In-App University provides structured learning with knowledge assessments.
The curriculum includes several stages:
- Preliminary Quiz. Determines the user's initial level of knowledge and helps select the necessary materials.
- Studying articles. The user learns the basic concepts of the selected topic using text materials and infographics.
- Practical assignments. Some programs ask users to explore the app's features and complete additional tasks.
- Final Test. Checks the user's understanding of the topic after the required learning assignments have been completed.
- Reward. Diamonds—points in the internal loyalty program—may be awarded for successfully completing certain programs offered by Crypto.com.
An important distinction: In-App University is part of Crypto.com App, not Crypto.com Exchange. Exchange users may need separate access to the main app to participate in these programs.
Glossary of cryptocurrency terms
Crypto.com also offers a free Crypto Glossary—a reference guide to terms used in the cryptocurrency industry.
The glossary is organized alphabetically and contains definitions of concepts related to trading, blockchain, investments, and digital assets.
Each article contains a definition of the term, an explanation, and links to related concepts. This format is particularly useful for beginners encountering unfamiliar industry terminology.
Customer Support
Crypto.com Exchange provides 24-hour support via live chat and email, an extensive knowledge base, and priority service for VIP clients. Staff are sufficiently competent in handling standard inquiries, but response times and the effectiveness of handling complex cases remain inconsistent. Complaints about long waits and generic responses prevent its customer support from being rated above average.
Support contact channels
Crypto.com offers several ways to contact customer support.
Channel | Contact | Availability |
|---|---|---|
Live chat | 24 hours, 24/7 | |
Mobile app | Help & Support section | 24 hours, 24/7 |
Inquiries accepted | ||
Help Center | 24 hours | |
VIP support | Through dedicated service channels | For members of the VIP program |
The social media channels of Crypto.com can be used to obtain general information and draw attention to unresolved issues. However, it is unsafe to share personal data, passwords, and verification codes through public channels.
A general telephone support line for regular users of Crypto.com Exchange is not advertised. Chat and email inquiries remain the main service channels.
Response times
Crypto.com claims 24-hour support availability, but does not publish a guaranteed time for an operator's first response for standard Exchange clients. Actual response times depend on the nature of the issue, staff workload, and whether additional checks are required.
Initial automated chat responses may appear almost instantly. However, the wait for a live agent can take considerably longer.
Support competence
Technical support for Crypto.com covers nearly every aspect of using the exchange: registration, verification, trading, deposits and withdrawals, security settings, and the use of investment products.
For standard inquiries users can expect detailed instructions. Most common issues, such as restoring access, setting up two-factor authentication, or checking a deposit's status, are well documented in the Help Center.
The situation is more complicated with non-standard inquiries. According to user reviews, staff sometimes provide generic responses, repeatedly request documents that have already been submitted, or fail to explain the reasons for delays. In some cases, inquiries are repeatedly passed between specialists without noticeable progress.
Complaints are particularly common regarding financial transactions and account restrictions. Users report insufficient transparency in reviews, a lack of specific resolution time frames, and difficulty obtaining detailed explanations.
Nonetheless, it cannot be said that support is generally incompetent. Crypto.com has specialized teams for handling financial, technical, and regulatory matters. However, according to reviews, the effectiveness of their interactions with regular users does not always match the company's scale.
Conclusion
Crypto.com Exchange is a major international crypto exchange with advanced trading infrastructure and a broad ecosystem of financial products. The platform offers comprehensive opportunities for trading and investing in digital assets, combining modern technology, international regulation, and a variety of services.
Crypto.com Exchange is best suited to intermediate and professional traders seeking a versatile platform for active trading and managing crypto assets. Beginners can also learn to use the exchange thanks to its user-friendly interface and educational materials, although some features require further study.
