KuCoin is a global cryptocurrency company and trading platform founded in September 2017. The project was launched by Michael Gan and Eric Tan, who positioned KuCoin as a more accessible alternative to major crypto exchanges and sought to simplify users' access to digital assets. A broader structure, KuGroup, was subsequently formed around the exchange, while KuCoin became one of the group's key brands in cryptocurrency trading and Web3 services.
KuCoin Review Summary
- Regional licences and registrations
- Proof of Reserves
- Major international platform
- Regulatory issues in several countries
- There has been a major security incident
Review scores are assigned using a standardized system that helps compare brokers across key criteria: reliability, trading conditions, commissions, available markets, platforms, analytics, education, and support quality. We analyze both the company's official information and the practical conditions for traders so that the final score reflects not only marketing claims but also the actual level of service.
You can learn more about how scores are calculated and which criteria are considered in each section in our broker rating methodology. The rest of this review will examine the strengths and weaknesses of KuCoin in each area.
Reliability and Regulation
KuCoin can be assessed as a large and prominent crypto exchange with an average level of reliability. The platform operates internationally, develops regional entities, and discloses some information about its reserves, increasing transparency for users. However, the exchange's regulatory history is mixed: the status of KuCoin varies across jurisdictions, while certain incidents involving regulators lower its overall rating. The exchange therefore appears more reliable than small, unregulated platforms but falls short of companies with simpler legal structures, consistent regulatory histories, and fewer controversial issues.
Licensing, Jurisdiction, and Regulatory Risks
| Legal Entity | Regulator |
|---|---|
| — |
KuCoin operates through several related legal entities and regional structures, so its regulatory status depends on the country and the specific group company serving the customer. At the group level, the exchange is associated with KU Holdings, where KuCoin is identified as the flagship trading platform. Group subsidiaries hold separate licenses or registrations in several jurisdictions, including India, Austria, Australia, Argentina, El Salvador, and South Africa. The most significant step was KuCoin EU Exchange GmbH obtaining authorization as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCAR in Austria.
At the same time, the regulatory history of KuCoin cannot be described as trouble-free. Austria's FMA, after granting MiCAR authorization, imposed restrictions on new business by KuCoin EU Exchange GmbH due to concerns about its internal organization in the area of AML and sanctions compliance. In the US, Peken Global Limited, associated with KuCoin, pleaded guilty to operating an unlicensed money-transmitting business and agreed to pay more than 297 million dollars in fines and forfeitures. Claims or warnings concerning KuCoin and related entities were also previously published by regulators in Dubai, the Netherlands and Seychelles.
For users, this means that KuCoin cannot be viewed as a single, fully regulated exchange in every country where it operates. In some regions, related companies hold registrations or licenses; in others, access to services may be restricted or subject to regulatory risks.
Security of Funds
In terms of technical security, KuCoin uses the standard set of safeguards employed by major crypto exchanges: distributing assets between cold and hot wallets, private-key management, multi-layer authentication, suspicious activity monitoring, a Bug Bounty program, and Proof of Reserves. According to statements by KuCoin, users can verify reserves through a Merkle Tree and published on-chain addresses.
Historically, KuCoin has already experienced a major security incident: in September 2020, the exchange reported an attack and the withdrawal of some assets from its hot wallets. Later, the company stated that a significant portion of the funds had been recovered, while the remainder was covered by KuCoin and an insurance fund. This incident does not mean that the current infrastructure is unsafe, but it is worth considering when assessing the exchange's risk management history.
Account Opening
Opening an account with KuCoin is completed online and generally follows the standard process for a major cryptocurrency exchange. Users create an account through the website or mobile app, confirm their email address or phone number, set a password, and then complete identity verification. Without verification, full access to KuCoin products is restricted, so registration and KYC are best viewed as a single account-opening process.
Registration
To register with KuCoin, click Sign Up on the website or in the app and choose how to create the account: by email or phone number. The user enters their contact details and, if applicable, a referral code, accepts the terms of use, receives a confirmation code, and sets a password. The mobile app may also offer additional sign-in options, such as through Apple ID or Telegram Bot.

After creating an account, users are advised to configure security settings immediately, including two-factor authentication, an anti-phishing code, and additional methods for confirming transactions. The account itself is created quickly, but identity verification is required for trading, deposits, and most services offered by KuCoin.
Verification
KuCoin requires verification, namely KYC, for new users. The process includes selecting the country that issued the document, uploading identification, and completing facial verification. Under the exchange's rules, as of 31 August 2023, new users must complete identity verification to access the products and services of KuCoin.
For customers who have not completed KYC, account functionality is restricted: deposits and new trades are unavailable, while the remaining functions are mainly limited to closing existing positions, selling cryptocurrency, and withdrawing funds. Completing verification unlocks full access to the exchange's services, including trading, deposits, fiat transactions, P2P and higher withdrawal limits.
Account Types
At KuCoin, there is no traditional range of accounts such as Standard, ECN or Pro, as offered by forex brokers. Instead, the exchange provides a range of trading modes and services within a single account: spot trading, margin transactions, futures, RWA contracts, P2P, Earn products, trading bots, copy trading, API and additional features for VIP clients.
Spot Trading and Conversion
Spot trading is the primary trading mode on KuCoin. Here, users buy and sell cryptocurrencies with settlement against their actual account balance. The trading terminal supports market and limit orders, advanced order types, and dedicated tools such as TWAP for more sophisticated trade execution.

For beginners or quick exchanges, KuCoin offers a converter, a simplified tool for exchanging one cryptocurrency for another without a full order book. It is suitable for users who do not want to navigate the spot terminal: they select the assets and amount, then confirm the exchange. KuCoin states that Convert does not charge a separate processing fee, but the exchange rate may include a spread.
Margin Trading
Margin trading on KuCoin allows users to trade with borrowed assets in addition to their own funds. This mode makes it possible to increase position size and trade both rising and falling markets, but it also increases liquidation risk. Users must enable margin trading, transfer funds to a margin account, borrow assets, open a trade, then close the position and repay the loan.

KuCoin uses a system of risk limits: individual assets have restrictions on maximum borrowing, position size, and collateral value. This reduces the risk of excessive leverage on less liquid coins but makes margin trading terms less uniform, as available leverage and limits may vary by asset.
Futures and RWA Contracts
Futures trading on KuCoin includes USDT/USDC-margined and coin-margined contracts. Users can open long and short positions, apply leverage, and trade without owning the underlying asset.

A separate offering is RWA contracts, which are derivatives based on real-world assets. KuCoin describes them as a way to gain exposure to price movements in stocks, stock indices, gold, and other assets without purchasing the underlying instrument. In particular, the exchange offers Stock Index Perpetual Contracts, which track the price of the relevant stocks or indices using an index price, mark price, and funding mechanism. KuCoin offers 120+ such contracts, with leverage on certain instruments reaching up to 20x.
Buying Cryptocurrency
To buy cryptocurrency, KuCoin offers several channels: Fast Trade, bank cards, fiat balances, bank transfers, third-party providers, Revolut Pay, and other regional methods. The available options depend on the country, currency, and account status.
P2P
The P2P service allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrency directly with other users through supported payment methods. KuCoin acts as an intermediary in the transaction and provides separate instructions for buying, selling, adding payment methods, and completing P2P transactions through the website or app.

OTC
OTC services are geared more toward large clients and institutional participants. KuCoin lists large OTC trades among its institutional services. They can be used for large volumes, fiat on- and off-ramps, and crypto-to-crypto exchanges outside the regular exchange order book.
Trading Bots and Copy Trading
KuCoin offers built-in trading bots that automate strategies without requiring external software. There is no additional fee for launching a trading bot, but trades incur trading fees according to the rules of the selected market.

Copy trading on KuCoin is built around futures strategies. Users can follow successful traders and automatically copy their trades involving USDT-margined perpetual contracts. Copy trading supports 630 futures trading pairs, providing active traders with a fairly broad selection of strategies.
Crypto Listings and Spotlight
KuCoin actively works with new tokens and supports a dedicated listing application process. Projects use the official AssetsHub channel, the only official interface for submitting token listing applications.

For users, this results in numerous new listings as well as access to Spotlight, the launchpad service of KuCoin for early participation in selected token sales. Such products may appeal to investors seeking new projects but also require greater caution because of the high risks associated with young tokens.
KuCoin Pay
KuCoin Pay is the exchange's payment solution for using cryptocurrency in everyday transactions. The service is intended for both users and merchants, allowing users to pay for goods and services with cryptocurrency at participating partners, including gift card services, mobile services, travel, and e-commerce providers.
KuCoin Earn
KuCoin Earn is a section for earning passive income from crypto assets. It offers Simple Earn products with flexible or fixed terms, staking, and more complex structured products such as Dual Investment, Shark Fin, and Snowball. Flexible products can be redeemed at any time, while fixed-term products usually close at maturity.

KCS
KCS is the native token of the KuCoin ecosystem. Holding and staking KCS may provide access to additional benefits, including trading fee discounts, selected Earn products, airdrop campaigns, and other bonuses within the platform. Holding KCS may help raise the VIP tier and unlock additional privileges.
Institutional Features
For professional clients, KuCoin also offers institutional services, including market-maker programs, API Broker, subaccounts, customized trading conditions, and dedicated programs for high-volume clients. These features are particularly important for algorithmic traders, funds, brokers, and teams that require more flexible infrastructure.
API
KuCoin provides an API for automated trading, market data, and management of accounts, orders, positions, subaccounts, withdrawals, and Earn products. The new API documentation is divided into REST and WebSocket categories, while separate API permissions allow access to spot, margin, futures, Earn, and withdrawals.
AI Kia
AI Kia is the built-in AI assistant for KuCoin. It can answer questions about market data, identify trading opportunities, suggest asset management products, and compile current cryptocurrency news. The service has free usage limits, while users with higher VIP tiers receive additional allowances.

Commissions
The fees charged by KuCoin can be assessed as low to average relative to the market. On the spot market, the base rate of 0.1% on major pairs appears competitive, especially considering the discount for paying in KCS and reduced fees for VIP clients. Futures terms are closer to average: the maker fee is fairly low, but the taker fee is not the most competitive among major exchanges.
VIP tiers
KuCoin uses a multi-tier VIP program ranging from VIP 0 to VIP 12. A tier can be attained not only through trading volume but also by holding KCS, futures trading volume, average margin loan volume, or the value of assets in the account. These criteria are not cumulative: meeting one of the conditions is enough to advance to the desired tier.
VIP tier | KCS balance | Spot volume over 30 days | Futures volume over 30 days | Average loan volume over 30 days | Assets in the account |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
VIP 0 | < 1 000 KCS | < 1 000 000 USDT | < 5 000 000 USDT | < 200 000 USDT | — |
VIP 1 | ≥ 1 000 KCS | ≥ 1 000 000 USDT | ≥ 5 000 000 USDT | ≥ 200 000 USDT | — |
VIP 2 | ≥ 10 000 KCS | ≥ 3 000 000 USDT | ≥ 8 000 000 USDT | ≥ 400 000 USDT | — |
VIP 3 | ≥ 20 000 KCS | ≥ 6 000 000 USDT | ≥ 16 000 000 USDT | ≥ 600 000 USDT | — |
VIP 4 | ≥ 30 000 KCS | ≥ 18 000 000 USDT | ≥ 40 000 000 USDT | ≥ 800 000 USDT | — |
VIP 5 | ≥ 40 000 KCS | ≥ 55 000 000 USDT | ≥ 60 000 000 USDT | ≥ 1 000 000 USDT | ≥ 1 000 000 USDT |
VIP 6 | ≥ 50 000 KCS | ≥ 100 000 000 USDT | ≥ 120 000 000 USDT | ≥ 2 000 000 USDT | — |
VIP 7 | ≥ 60 000 KCS | ≥ 180 000 000 USDT | ≥ 200 000 000 USDT | ≥ 5 000 000 USDT | — |
VIP 8 | ≥ 70 000 KCS | ≥ 250 000 000 USDT | ≥ 300 000 000 USDT | ≥ 8 000 000 USDT | ≥ 3 000 000 USDT |
VIP 9 | ≥ 80 000 KCS | ≥ 350 000 000 USDT | ≥ 400 000 000 USDT | ≥ 10 000 000 USDT | — |
VIP 10 | ≥ 90 000 KCS | ≥ 550 000 000 USDT | ≥ 600 000 000 USDT | ≥ 13 000 000 USDT | — |
VIP 11 | ≥ 100 000 KCS | ≥ 750 000 000 USDT | ≥ 800 000 000 USDT | ≥ 15 000 000 USDT | — |
VIP 12 | ≥ 150 000 KCS | ≥ 950 000 000 USDT | ≥ 1 000 000 000 USDT | ≥ 20 000 000 USDT | — |
The higher the VIP tier, the lower the trading fees and the higher the withdrawal limits. The program is therefore primarily useful for active traders, market makers, and large clients. For a regular user with low trading volume, KuCoin effectively remains at the base VIP 0, where fees are still competitive, but without the maximum discounts.
Spot trading fees
On the spot market, KuCoin uses a maker/taker model: a maker adds liquidity to the order book, while a taker removes it by filling an existing order. The fee depends on the trading pair class and the user's VIP tier. For the base VIP 0 tier, the fee is 0.10% maker / 0.10% taker for Class A pairs, 0.20% / 0.20% for Class B, and 0.30% / 0.30% for Class C.
VIP tier | Class A Maker | Class A Taker | Class B Maker | Class B Taker | Class C Maker | Class C Taker |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
VIP 0 | 0.10% | 0.10% | 0.20% | 0.20% | 0.30% | 0.30% |
VIP 1 | 0.10% | 0.10% | 0.19% | 0.20% | 0.29% | 0.30% |
VIP 2 | 0.09% | 0.10% | 0.18% | 0.20% | 0.27% | 0.30% |
VIP 3 | 0.08% | 0.09% | 0.15% | 0.18% | 0.23% | 0.27% |
VIP 4 | 0.06% | 0.08% | 0.11% | 0.15% | 0.17% | 0.23% |
VIP 5 | 0.04% | 0.06% | 0.07% | 0.11% | 0.11% | 0.17% |
VIP 6 | 0.03% | 0.05% | 0.05% | 0.09% | 0.08% | 0.14% |
VIP 7 | 0.02% | 0.04% | 0.03% | 0.08% | 0.05% | 0.13% |
VIP 8 | 0% | 0.04% | 0% | 0.08% | 0% | 0.13% |
VIP 9 | 0% | 0.04% | 0% | 0.08% | 0% | 0.12% |
VIP 10 | 0% | 0.03% | 0% | 0.06% | 0% | 0.09% |
VIP 11 | 0% | 0.03% | 0% | 0.06% | 0% | 0.08% |
VIP 12 | 0% | 0.03% | 0% | 0.05% | 0% | 0.08% |
Fees KuCoin on popular Class A spot pairs appear competitive, especially for users with a high VIP tier. However, trading costs are higher for less liquid or riskier Class B and Class C pairs.
Additionally, KuCoin offers a 20% discount when spot trading fees are paid with KCS, as well as the KCS Loyalty Discount ranging from 0.5–2%.
Futures fees
In the futures market, KuCoin also uses the maker/taker model. At the base VIP 0 level, the fee is 0.02% for maker orders and 0.06% for taker orders. As the VIP tier increases, the maker fee falls to 0%, while the taker fee falls to 0.03% at higher tiers.
VIP tier | Futures Maker | Futures Taker |
|---|---|---|
VIP 0 | 0.02% | 0.06% |
VIP 1 | 0.02% | 0.06% |
VIP 2 | 0.02% | 0.06% |
VIP 3 | 0.01% | 0.06% |
VIP 4 | 0.01% | 0.06% |
VIP 5 | 0.01% | 0.05% |
VIP 6 | 0.00% | 0.04% |
VIP 7 | 0.00% | 0.04% |
VIP 8 | 0.00% | 0.04% |
VIP 9 | 0.00% | 0.03% |
VIP 10 | 0.00% | 0.03% |
VIP 11 | 0.00% | 0.03% |
VIP 12 | 0.00% | 0.03% |
Futures fees at KuCoin appear average for the market. The maker fee of 0.02% at the base tier is competitive and in line with many major exchanges, but the taker fee of 0.06% is not among the lowest on the market. For traders who use limit orders more often, KuCoin may be fairly cost-effective, while active trading with market orders will cost more than on some competing platforms.
When trading futures, the funding fee for perpetual contracts must also be considered. This is not an exchange transaction fee, but rather periodic payments between holders of long and short positions. Funding varies depending on the specific contract and market conditions, so a trader's total costs may differ from one trading pair to another.
Deposit and withdrawal fees
Cryptocurrency deposits on KuCoin do not incur a separate exchange fee, but the user pays the network fee charged by the sending platform or blockchain. For cryptocurrency withdrawals, the fee depends on the specific asset and selected network. Internal transfers between KuCoin accounts are processed instantly and free of charge.
Fiat fees depend on the payment method and currency. Cryptocurrency purchases or sales through a fiat balance are subject to a fee of 0.1%. However, actual fees may vary, and users should refer to the amount shown by the system before the transaction.
Deposit and Withdrawal
KuCoin offers several ways to deposit and withdraw funds: cryptocurrency transfers, fiat deposits and withdrawals, cryptocurrency purchases with fiat, and a P2P service. Cryptocurrency functionality is extensive: the exchange supports various networks, internal transfers between KuCoin accounts, and direct deposits into different account types. Fiat options depend on the country, currency, and verification status, so it is important to check the available methods in the user account before a transaction.
Cryptocurrency deposits
To deposit cryptocurrency, open the Deposit section, select the coin and network, after which KuCoin will display the wallet address and QR code. The user copies the address and sends the asset from an external wallet or another exchange. If the coin supports multiple networks, such as ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20 or other blockchains, the selected network must match the sending network exactly. Selecting the wrong network may result in the loss of funds.

KuCoin also lets users choose where to credit the deposit: a Funding Account, Trading Account, or another available account. The crediting time depends on the blockchain and network congestion. For some assets, the exchange supports early crediting after a minimum number of confirmations, but the deposit is considered final only after the transaction has been fully confirmed on the network. Users must also consider the minimum deposit amount and whether a memo/tag is required for certain coins.
Fiat deposits
Fiat deposits are available only after completing KYC. Depending on the region, KuCoin supports various deposit methods, including SEPA transfers in EUR, SEPA Open Banking, Pix in BRL, and fiat balance transactions.
Users can also buy cryptocurrency on KuCoin using a fiat balance, bank cards, third-party providers, and P2P. This is convenient for users who do not have cryptocurrency in an external wallet. Without verification, fiat deposits and cryptocurrency purchases by card, via a fiat balance, and via P2P are unavailable.

Cryptocurrency withdrawals
To withdraw cryptocurrency, the user selects the coin and specifies the recipient's address, network, and amount. On the withdrawal page, KuCoin displays the available balance, network fee, and final amount the recipient will receive. Before confirming, it is important to check both the address and the network: sending an asset over the wrong network may result in the permanent loss of funds.

To confirm a withdrawal, KuCoin requires configured security settings, such as a phone number or email, Google 2FA, and a trading password. The withdrawal fee depends on the specific asset and network and should be checked on the withdrawal page before the transaction. For transfers between KuCoin accounts, an internal transfer can be made via email, phone, or UID: these transactions are processed instantly and free of charge.
Fiat withdrawals
Fiat withdrawals also depend on the country, currency, and available payment channel. KuCoin supports EUR withdrawals via SEPA to a bank account. The fee for individual users is 1 EUR, and the per-transaction limit ranges from 1.01 to 50 000 EUR, while the crediting time depends on the transfer type: SEPA Instant usually takes a few seconds if the bank supports this mode, while SEPA Credit Transfer may take 1–2 business days.
Before the first EUR withdrawal via SEPA, the bank account must be linked and verified. To do this, KuCoin requires the user to make a deposit from the same bank account to which they plan to withdraw funds. This requirement is related to AML checks and confirmation that the account belongs to the same user.
Limits
Limits on KuCoin depend on verification, VIP tier, transaction type, currency, and payment channel. For new users without KYC, access to most transactions is restricted: deposits, cryptocurrency purchases, P2P purchases, and fiat withdrawals are unavailable. Completing verification provides full access to KuCoin products and increases the daily withdrawal limits.
Category | Without verification | After verification |

Cryptocurrency deposit | Unavailable | Available |
Fiat deposit | Unavailable | Available |
Cryptocurrency purchase by card / with fiat balance | Unavailable | Available |
P2P purchases | Unavailable | Available |

According to the VIP privileges table offered by KuCoin, the daily cryptocurrency withdrawal limit starts at 1 000 000 USDT at VIP 0 and increases to 60 000 000 USDT at VIP 12. For fiat transactions, KuCoin separately specifies daily limits: for individual users, 150 000 USDT for fiat deposits and 150 000 USDT for fiat withdrawals, and for institutional clients, 500 000 USDT.
Fiat transaction type | Individual users | Institutional users |
|---|---|---|

In terms of product breadth, KuCoin is closer to an all-in-one crypto ecosystem than a conventional exchange for swapping coins. It provides tools for different categories of users: beginners can buy cryptocurrency and use Convert and Earn; active traders have access to spot, margin, futures, and bots; and professional participants can use API, brokerage solutions, OTC and VIP infrastructure.
Supported cryptocurrencies
KuCoin traditionally emphasizes a broad selection of cryptocurrencies and altcoins.
On KuCoin, users can find both the largest cryptocurrencies—BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, XRP, BNB, SOL and others—as well as a large number of altcoins, new tokens, and niche projects. This makes the exchange appealing to users seeking not only major crypto assets but also a broader selection of coins. However, the large number of listings calls for caution: the liquidity, volatility, and risks of individual tokens can vary significantly.
Trading Platforms
KuCoin offers several ways to access trading: a web platform, mobile apps, and API for automated trading.
Web platform
KuCoin's web platform is its main trading interface for computer users. Spot trading, futures, margin, Convert, P2P, Earn, trading bots, account management, deposits, and withdrawals are available through the browser. For spot trading, users go to Trade → Spot Trading, select a trading pair, and place an order directly in the trading interface.

The terminal supports standard and advanced order types: limit, market, stop-limit, stop-market, OCO and trailing stop. This makes the web platform convenient not only for basic cryptocurrency purchases but also for more active trading. In the futures interface, KuCoin also highlights hedge mode, order modifications, reverse position, strategy tools, a customizable layout, and an expanded positions panel.
Mobile apps
The mobile app of KuCoin is available for Android and iOS. The Android version can be downloaded via APK or Google Play, while the iOS version can be downloaded through the App Store or a QR code.

The app largely mirrors the web version in functionality: users can trade, deposit and withdraw funds, and use P2P, Earn, bots, and other account sections. For active traders, the mobile app is convenient as an additional way to monitor positions and take quick action, but the web version remains more convenient for complex charting, working with multiple windows, and API settings.

API and external platforms
KuCoin offers an API for algorithmic trading, connecting trading bots, retrieving market data, and managing accounts. The documentation provides REST and WebSocket interfaces, while the UTA API allows users to trade spot, margin, and futures through a unified approach to placing orders.
API keys are created in the account dashboard through API Management. KuCoin allows users to set permissions, connect third-party applications, and use IP restrictions for security. For keys with spot, margin, or futures trading permissions, the exchange specifies an additional rule: if a key is not linked to an IP address, its trading permissions may be disabled or the key may be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
Analytics
The analytics offered by KuCoin appear fairly robust for a crypto exchange: the trading interface includes a news and insights feed, coin information, market data, an order book, and trade history, while outside the terminal users can access KuCoin Live, KuCoin Square, a blog, and a dedicated crypto news section. This set of resources helps traders follow the market, new ideas, coin-related events, and community sentiment.
News and insights feed
The trading terminal of KuCoin has a Feed tab that brings together market insights, news, and community posts. Within the feed, users can switch between Insights and News, view posts by authors, charts, brief ideas, and tags for related assets. This is convenient for quickly monitoring sentiment around a specific coin without visiting third-party websites.

In essence, Feed is not only a news section but also a social feed featuring market ideas, opinions from KOLs, official updates, and platform events. This format is useful for active traders, but published materials should not be treated as trading recommendations.
Coin information
In the Coin Info tab in the trading interface of KuCoin, basic reference information about the selected asset is displayed. Using BTC as an example, users can see the coin's rank, market capitalization, circulating supply, maximum supply, all-time high, official website, blockchain explorers, code/community links, and a brief project description.

This section is useful for an initial introduction to an asset, especially when the user is looking at a new token or an unfamiliar coin. However, Coin Info is not a substitute for comprehensive fundamental analysis: before buying, it is worth checking the tokenomics, liquidity, project team, smart contracts, news, and blockchain explorer data.
KuCoin Live
KuCoin Live is an interactive streaming platform within the ecosystem of KuCoin. It is designed for live broadcasts about the market, trading strategies, project reviews, industry trends, and educational topics.

For users, this is an additional source of market content and education. The format is particularly useful for those who prefer video and live discussions to reading articles. However, the quality of the analysis depends on the individual creator or streamer, so KuCoin Live should be viewed as a supplementary tool rather than an independent research center.
KuCoin Square
KuCoin Square is a community section of KuCoin, focused on market ideas and member content. In purpose, it is closer to a social platform for traders and crypto enthusiasts than a traditional analytics platform. Users can follow topics, discussions, and content related to the crypto market here.

The main value of KuCoin Square is quick access to community sentiment and current topics. This format helps users identify popular narratives, but it also carries the typical risks of social platforms: subjective opinions, hype around individual tokens, and no guarantee of quality for every post.
Crypto News
The dedicated Crypto News section on KuCoin provides breaking news on Bitcoin, altcoins, blockchain, Web3, cryptocurrency prices, DeFi and other topics. The section includes the tabs News, 24h Feed, AI Daily, Insights, Trends and Community, allowing users to switch quickly between content formats.

This section is convenient for daily market monitoring: users can quickly see important events, movements in individual coins, trends, and related tickers. However, as with Feed, news from KuCoin is best used as a starting point for analysis rather than the sole basis for trading decisions.
Education
The educational section of KuCoin is built around practical learning about cryptocurrencies, trading tools, and the platform itself. Users have access to the blog, KuCoin Learn, the Learn and Earn program, and a knowledge base with instructions on accounts, deposits, withdrawals, spot trading, margin, and other services. In terms of depth, this is more practical education and a help center than a full academy with structured courses, but there is enough material for beginners and intermediate users.
Blog
KuCoin Blog brings together news, market reviews, educational articles, and material about the exchange's ecosystem. As an educational resource, the blog is useful as an additional source: it includes explanations of new tokens, market events, trends, and specific trading concepts. However, some of the material is news-related or promotional, so the blog is best used together with KuCoin Learn and the help center rather than as the sole educational resource.

KuCoin Learn
KuCoin Learn is the exchange's main educational section. It contains material on cryptocurrencies, blockchain, Web3, trading, KuMining, the products of KuCoin and basic terms. Articles are divided by difficulty level, such as Beginner and Intermediate, which helps beginners start with simple topics while allowing more experienced users to move on to material about margin, futures, security, and other advanced subjects.

The glossary is also worth noting: it contains definitions of popular cryptocurrency terms, including KYC, margin trading, market capitalization, smart contracts, staking, technical analysis, and other concepts. This format is convenient for users who are just starting to learn about the crypto market and frequently encounter unfamiliar terminology.
Learn and Earn
Learn and Earn is a program from KuCoin, in which users study material, complete a quiz or task, and may receive a reward.

This format is well suited to beginners because it combines education with motivation. Topics are usually related to new projects, exchange products, staking, trading, Web3, and other areas.
Knowledge Base
The knowledge base of KuCoin is a practical help center for using the exchange. The Help Center contains instructions on registration, verification, security settings, cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals, fiat transactions, spot and margin trading, legal documents, and other parts of the platform.
Unlike KuCoin Learn, the knowledge base does not explain the cryptocurrency market as a whole but helps users complete specific tasks within their accounts: how to deposit funds, withdraw funds, complete KYC, restore access, set up 2FA, or understand trading features. This makes the Help Center an important part of education for users who are not just reading theory but are already using KuCoin in practice.
Customer Support
Technical support at KuCoin is structured around the Help Center, live chat, a chatbot, and a ticketing system. This is a standard model for a major crypto exchange: users can resolve simple questions through the knowledge base or bot, while more complex cases are referred to support through a ticket.
Support Contact Channels
The main support channels for KuCoin are live chat and tickets. On the website, users can go to the Help Center, select Contact Us / Online Support or submit a request through Submit a Ticket. In the mobile app, a request is created through the user profile and the Support section, where live support and ticket submission are available.
The first level of support is the KuCoin Chat Bot. It helps with common questions: deposit and withdrawal issues, exporting trading history, changing an email address, and questions about accounts, spot trading, futures, margin, and trading bots. If the bot does not resolve the issue, KuCoin provides the option to contact a live agent or create a ticket through the same interface.
The risk of scammers on Telegram, X, and other social networks should also be considered. KuCoin offers an Official Verification Center, where users can verify an official contact or domain using a phone number, email address, WeChat, Telegram, Skype, Twitter/X, or website address. Therefore, it is best to use only official support channels for financial and account-related questions.
Response Time
For simple questions, KuCoin aims to speed up service through its chatbot and self-service options: some issues can be resolved immediately using preset workflows and instructions. For tickets, the exchange asks users to select the correct issue type and avoid creating multiple requests about the same matter so that support can process the request more quickly.
Complex situations, such as a delayed deposit, an incorrect network, a withdrawal issue, KYC, an account lock, or account security, usually require review by specialists. In such cases, resolution speed depends on the request category, the completeness of the information provided by the user, and whether additional verification is required. For urgent cases involving a potentially compromised account, KuCoin recommends contacting live support immediately; after identity verification, the account may be frozen to protect the funds.
Support Expertise
For common questions, support at KuCoin appears sufficiently competent: the knowledge base and chatbot cover the main account operations, deposits and withdrawals, trading, transaction history, and security. This helps users obtain instructions quickly without waiting for an agent.
In more complex cases, support acts as an intermediary between the user and specialized departments: financial, technical, KYC or security. This approach is normal for a major exchange, but resolution may take longer, especially when the issue involves blockchain transactions, restoring access, an incorrect deposit, or manual account review. Therefore, when contacting support, it is best to provide UID, the type of issue, TxID, the network, amount, screenshots, and other details immediately—this increases the chances of a quick resolution.
Conclusion
KuCoin is a major international cryptocurrency exchange with a wide range of trading and investment tools. The platform offers spot and margin trading, futures, RWA contracts, P2P, Earn products, trading bots, copy trading, API and additional services for active users. In terms of functionality, KuCoin looks like a full-fledged crypto ecosystem rather than just a platform for buying and selling coins.
KuCoin is suitable for traders who need a wide selection of cryptocurrencies, access to new tokens, futures, bots, P2P and passive-income products in one account. The exchange will appeal to active crypto traders, users who trade altcoins, and those seeking more tools than basic exchanges offer. For beginners, KuCoin can also be convenient, but the large number of features, mandatory verification, and regulatory nuances mean it is best to learn the platform gradually.
